EVENT STAFF CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE Job Number: 160 Salary: $17.90 Department: Event Services Office Days/Hours:MondaySunday 1020 hrs/-person summer availability is required. Duties: - Work in teams to set up monitor and break down event spaces including chairs tables staging and audiovisual equipment.
- Provide general event oversight act as the clients main point of contact and ensure smooth execution of event operations.
- Perform light cleaning and janitorial duties such as wiping down surfaces vacuuming trash removal and general tidying of event spaces before during and after events.
- Support administrative functions including processing client requests updating event records maintaining supply inventories and assisting with event scheduling.
- Fulfill general event staff responsibilities across all stages of events: pre-event preparation on-site event support and post-event wrap-up.
- Lead the Summer in the Union program (providing tours and overseeing activities for incoming students) and contribute to other Student Union programs including ASUCLA Benefits U and ASUCLAs sustainability efforts.
- Collaborate with team members in a student-centered service-driven environment with ample opportunities for growth and promotion.
- Review all event details prior to event date and coordinate w/ event manager to understand itinerary and client m needs. Details provided by EMS (and event documents).
Requirements: - Demonstrates flexibility resourcefulness and attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to manage responsibilities in a dynamic environment with minimal direct supervision.
- Capable of performing physical tasks including lifting at least 50 poundsWillingness to perform light cleaning and janitorial tasks as part of event operations.
- Availability varies weekly; must be available at least 20 hours MondayFriday and 6 hours SaturdaySunday with at least one morning and evening shift required.
- Must be able to work on-site during the summer months of June through September.
