You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are recruiting for a small mining company based in the Perth CBD seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to cover annual leave for 34 weeks. Starting 15th September this is a great opportunity to step into a close-knit team and manage the day-to-day accounting functions.
This is a varied and hands-on position responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth operations during the leave period. Duties will include:
End-to-end Accounts Payable processing supplier invoices coding approvals and payment runs
Accounts Receivable raising customer invoices receipting payments following up on outstanding accounts
Bank and account reconciliations
Month-end support journals accruals and assisting with reporting
Expense claim and credit card processing
Petty cash management
Assisting with cashflow monitoring and reporting to management
Maintaining vendor and customer records
General finance administration and filing duties
Supporting the Finance Manager with ad-hoc tasks as required
Previous experience in a broad Accounts Officer role (AP AR and general ledger)
Proficient with accounting systems and strong Excel skills
Organised adaptable and able to work autonomously in a small team environment
Strong communication and attention to detail
$45 per hour super
Immediate start on 15th September
34 week contract covering annual leave
