Are you a skilled technician with a passion for fault finding problem solving and driving equipment reliability
A leading player in the chemical manufacturing sector is seeking a Technician (Services) to join their dynamic team in Sasolburg. This role is ideal for a technically strong artisan or engineering professional with a sharp eye for detail hands-on problem-solving abilities and a deep understanding of maintenance and asset care in a high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure statutory compliance in accordance with the OHS Act and relevant machinery regulations
- Conduct MTTR & MTBF analysis to improve equipment performance
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions in collaboration with Reliability Engineering
- Drive 5S principles and contribute to world-class manufacturing practices
- Approve purchase orders and manage supplier quotations within cost control limits
- Identify and resolve persistent equipment issues and reliability concerns
- Execute and support reliability improvement and maintenance optimisation projects
Requirements:
- N6 / in Engineering or Trade-Specific Artisan (Red Seal) qualification
- 510 years experience in a maintenance environment preferably within asset care
- Strong experience in root cause analysis and reliability-focused methodologies
- Proficient in CMMS and maintenance software systems
- Certified Reliability Maintenance Professional (CRMP) preferred
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and maintenance platforms
- Strong problem-solving teamwork communication and organisational skills
