Job Description
Role: Sheet Metal Workers - Contracting
Location: Manchester
Hourly rate: 36.00 per hour
Shifts:
Mon Thurs 12pm to 1030pm OT available normal shift or their own shift on Friday early only for Saturday OT
Mon Fri 7am 330pm Saturday early OT available
Duration: To be confirmed
Project Scope: The transformation of the largest current passenger production airliner and convert it into a world class market leading Air Freighter! We are hiring for candidates to support our B777 Passenger to Freighter modification project at Manchester.
Key Duties & Responsibilities: All aspects of major structural repair and modifications to include but not limited to:
Removal of major aircraft structural sections whilst stress jacked.
Working to fine tolerances and high standards.
Upholding high standards of housekeeping.
Adhering to company and manufacturers procedures.
Implementing modifications from drawings and procedures.
Skills and Abilities:
Completed aircraft engineering apprenticeship production or Live aircraft.
Ideally 5 years live aircraft and structures experience.
Candidates must pass a Hands on and Written Assessment Test in order to start on this program
Demonstratable experience in aircraft modification/production environment
Experience of implementing and carrying out aircraft component modifications.
Experienced and capable of reading manufacturers drawings and SRMs.
Excellent hand skills
Takes full ownership and responsibility for own tasks.
Good organisational skills.
Good communicator.
Knowledge of MS Office applications.
Eligible to work in the UK.
