Position Overview
Description
As a University New Hire in the ConocoPhillips Information Technology organization youll participate in our Digital Rotation Program. This program includes three 1-year rotations within various disciplines. These disciplines may include but are not limited to opportunities in:
- Application/Automation Development
- Data & Analytics
- Emerging Digital Technologies
- Enterprise Business Capabilities
- Infrastructure Engineering
- IT Security
- Network Engineering
- Technical Capabilities
Assignments will typically be at one of our sites located in Bartlesville Oklahoma or Houston Texas. There may also be limited opportunities available in Anchorage Alaska. All IT University New Hires will begin their employment with our Navigate onboarding program in Bartlesville OK before being assigned to their long-term location.
Responsibilities may include:
- Identifying and implementing e-solutions that enhance our business model and streamline processes
- Developing and supporting automation processes across enterprise functions
- Translating business requirements into analytics solutions
- Developing implementing and supporting network security processes
- Using a wide range of technologies including artificial intelligence cloud computing data warehousing telecommunications and databases to deliver IT services
- Developing technical direction to gain competitive advantage in scientific computing areas (visualization storage networks etc.)
Basic/Required:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer and/or education institution
- Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Engineering Computer Science Electrical Engineering Information Technology Management Information Systems other related field or foreign equivalent
- Current level in college: Senior
- Expected graduation date: Fall 2025 through Spring 2026
Preferred:
- Willing to work in either of these locations: Bartlesville Oklahoma Houston Texas or Anchorage Alaska
- A minimum cumulative and major GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Builds effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical
- Listens actively and invites new ideas for exchanged opinions then influences and acts to drive positive performance and achieve results
- Understands how key financial and quantitative indicators impact the business
