Our client located in Washington DC is seeking a Manager of Member Recruitment. This is an excellent opportunity to support senior leadership and contribute to the recruitment and retention of members! This position is hybrid requiring two days per week in the office.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager of Member Recruitment analyzes potential members through research calling and email campaigns to identify the best candidates for recruitment and retention. This role serves as a sales associate position. The Manager supports the Regional Directors throughout their sales cycles providing in-depth analysis and research on potential members. This position also manages post-visit/recruitment follow-up using the information gleaned during the recruitment process (both research and directly communicated information) to develop an individualized plan for each potential member. The Manager makes decisions about products and services that will meet the needs of members. This position will also represent the organization through field visits conferences and other events. Through this work the Manager will support the Membership departments goals for meeting engagement benchmarks.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct outreach and calling campaigns to generate sales and retention opportunities.
- Identify needs and develop and execute a plan to connect the potential member to products and services that will provide a value proposition to the member.
- In coordination with the Regional Director develop and execute onboarding programs for new members and for existing members with low engagement that are considered at risk of canceling their memberships.
- Schedule visits for the Regional Director and deliver webinars to members as part of territory-specific engagement campaigns.
- Provide specific concierge services to potential members with assets between $100M and $9.99B and respond to inquiries.
- Determine based on each members request the appropriate expert or solution to connect with the member.
- Develop relationships with potential members and serve as the go-to resource inside the organization.
- Research potential members and their CEOs including prior contact report analysis while managing regional account databases.
- Other duties as assigned by business needs.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Comfort in a sales role that includes cold calling and conducting discovery conversations to uncover prospect needs and viability
- Proven ability to establish rapport upon meeting new people and build long-term relationships with customers
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including active listening skills
- Ability to interact and communicate with C-levels
- Strong critical thinking skills and deductive reasoning

- Ability to travel up to 20%
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree in business administration communications marketing or related field; or commensurate experience
- Minimum of two years of experience in sales customer support relationship/account management or in a customer-facing support role
- Experience with the Microsoft suite of products with a focus on PowerPoint and Excel
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Experience with Salesforce
- Experience in financial services or trade associations
