Job Summary
Senior Application Engineer (Flow Control business line)
Location: Malaysia
Are you the new forward-minded team player we are looking for
Valmets Flow Control business line is a global leader in flow control solutions and services. Our valves and valve automation technologies are known for quality reliability and highest safety. Our customers operate in oil and gas refining pulp paper and bioproducts industry chemicals and other process industries.
Who is the professional we are looking for
Reporting to Application Engineering Manager your role will be to provide technical seminars and give product presentations to design institutes or customers. You will also need to communicate with design institutes and customers to clarify technical requirements for project or practice this means you will need to approach product manager factorys sales support team or other related departments for technical support and to provide optimized solutions according to technical requirement.
You like putting all information together and is able to meet the required time line. You enjoy prepare quotations and bidding documents accurately and on time and to finalize technical part in sales contract. You will also be able to place purchase orders to the appropriate factory on time to check order confirmation and ensure the accuracy of order data. You are able to provide technical support through whole order fulfilment and to provide technical support to sales team when needed.
To be successful in this role
Bachelor degree majoring in Automation Mechanical Engineering or Petrochemical
At least 5-7 years of experience in process industry (end user design institute supplier).
Good knowledge about field instruments like valve actuator and positioner.
Expertise in Control Valve Sizing & Selection
Experience in design institutes and CRM/SRM is a plus.
Positive attitude highly motivated and a team player.
Meticulous in work
Knowledge of International Inco terms
Excellent communication within & outside the Firm
