Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our clients fabrication team.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metals including stainless steel aluminum and carbon steel.
Read and interpret blueprints schematics and welding symbols to determine project requirements.
Prepare materials by cutting grinding and cleaning surfaces for welding.
Set up and operate welding machines and related tools safely and efficiently.
Maintain proper welding parameters (voltage amperage gas flow) based on material type and thickness.
Inspect welds visually and with measuring tools to ensure high-quality standards and structural integrity.
Tack weld fit and assemble components before final welding.
Follow all workplace safety guidelines including PPE use and equipment lockout procedures.
Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools.
Collaborate with fabrication engineering and quality control teams to ensure project success and accuracy.

Qualifications:

Valid CWB certification to CSA W47.1 (required)
Minimum 2 years of MIG and TIG welding experience preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
Proficient in working with a variety of metals especially stainless steel and aluminum.
Strong knowledge of welding techniques safety standards and equipment operation.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Physical ability to lift heavy materials stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
