Job Description
Solutions Architect
Our client is seeking a skilled Solutions Architect to join their dynamic team and drive their cloud-based software strategy. This is a pivotal role focused on expanding integrated solutions across a diverse range of products and technologies. Youll be skilled at solving deep technical challenges and building influence and consensus within the business.
As a Solutions Architect you will play a critical part in the full product lifecycle from interpreting complex requirements and designing innovative solutions to supporting deployment and ongoing improvement. You will provide technical leadership collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers contributing to a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable secure and robust software architecture to meet customer needs and product goals.
- Collaborate closely with product management system engineers and other teams to translate customer requirements into actionable architectural designs.
- Drive a focus on scalable long-term solutions moving beyond bespoke fixes that only meet short-term needs.
- Act as the primary liaison between customer requirements product management directives and engineering teams to ensure seamless communication and implementation.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams throughout the design and development process.
- Implement best practices for security ensuring all solutions meet stringent security requirements for on-premises deployments and cloud-based services.
- Support the integration of physical hardware and software components to ensure all elements work cohesively.
- Define a 3-5-year vision for product technology and work with stakeholders to turn this vision into actionable work items considering resourcing and budgeting constraints.
- Prepare and present technical reports and insights to internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the company in industry forums demonstrating technical leadership and expertise.
About You
To succeed in this role youll have a strong technical background in architectural design combined with a strategic mindset and a collaborative approach. You will have a bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
You will also bring:
- A minimum of 5 years experience in application architecture design development and deployment with stringent security requirements.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure Google Cloud).
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills with a proactive approach to design challenges.
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities with the ability to guide and develop engineering teams.
- Expertise in critical communications systems including protocols and standards (a plus).
- Relevant certifications in architecture and cloud platforms (a plus).
