An Application Architect specializing in Java & Web Technologies is capable of visualizing the entire application as a cohesive system understanding all interactions between system components and defining limitations and requirements for source code in Java and related frameworks.
They are experts in selecting defining and enforcing consistent technology standards ensuring alignment with business terms of technology they should be proficient in Java JEE JDBC Java design patterns architectural patterns Dependency Injection Java Collections threads concurrency Java servlets JSPs Struts JSF Spring Hibernate EJB JPA JAX-RS and JAX-WS.
Additionally they should be familiar with SOA Web Services Legacy Platform Integration Application Servers like WebLogic/WebSphere and Clustering Architectures. The ideal candidate is also adept in DevOps methodologies Agile and Test Driven Development.
