Manufacturing Accountant (Month-End Close Exp. Req.) HYBRID Description
Our client a global private equity-backed manufacturer is seeking a Manufacturing Accountant to join their team in Stamford CT. This role will own and optimize the entire close process manage general ledger activities and improve reconciliations across business units. This hands-on position requires someone who can roll up their sleeves as both a doer and a reviewer. The ideal candidate has a strong background in manufacturing or public accounting with experience managing month-end close processes. Manufacturing Accountant (Month-End Close Exp. Req.) HYBRID Responsibilities
Manage and optimize the monthly close process across business units
Oversee and improve reconciliations across the general ledger
Manage a complete close checklist and ensure timely execution
Partner with and support Controllers at local sites
Prepare and review journal entries account reconciliations and variance analysis
Ensure accurate and timely internal reporting and KPI tracking
Drive process improvements and standardization across entities
Assist with budgeting forecasting and periodic financial analysis
Provide audit support and ensure compliance with internal controls
Collaborate cross-functionally to support the integration of newly acquired subsidiaries
Manufacturing Accountant (Month-End Close Exp. Req.) HYBRID Qualifications
Bachelors degree in finance accounting or a related field is required
4 years of finance/accounting manufacturing and/or public accounting is required
Strong understanding of G/L debits and credits required
Proven experience managing the month-end close process is required
Advanced Excel skills and the ability to quickly learn new software are required
Ability to work on-site 3 days per week in Stamford CT is required
