The Cost Accountant is a member of the accounting team that reports to the Cost Accounting Manager. The successful candidate will have a knowledge and understanding of cost accounting principles as well as be detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills. This position will impact a rapidly growing organization and offers career development opportunities. Location: This position may be based out of our Kettering OH; Blaine MN; Hutchinson MN; Nashua NH; or Costa Rica site.

• Help to track and monitor raw materials and consumables inventory
• Support with the identification of potential excess and obsolete inventory in coordination with Supply Chain and Operations Aid in monitoring job close variances and provide root cause analysis
• Assist in month end close process for inventory and cost of sales Responsible for preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations for areas such as inventory work in process job variances returned material cost of sales
• Maintain financial security by adhering to internal accounting controls
• Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested Assist in preparing reports required for financial audits and management as needed
• Contribute in the ongoing maintenance of our ERP system to maintain accurate information and proper accounting
• Develop process controls and documentation
• Maintain detailed and organized accounting records
• Coordinate and / or support cross-functional requirements and continuous improvement initiatives

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Related Field or equivalent experience
• 2 years of experience in Cost Accounting work
• Sound understanding of accounting principles
• Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Self-directed and able to perform assignments independently; demonstrate proactive approach and is flexible with regards to change
• Knowledge of Epicor ERP systems
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload

• The compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $31.25$38.00/hr.
