POSITION SUMMARY: Were looking for a skilled PDI Technician to join our Scarborough Quality this hands-on role youll carry out detailed inspections system checks and diagnostics to ensure our vehicles meet the highest safety and quality standards before they hit the road. Youll work with a range of chassis driveline and engine systems (including diesel and EV) using your technical expertise to resolve issues efficiently and effectively. If youre a time-served technician with a PSV licence a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering quality this could be the opportunity for you.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• To perform underbody inspections to the specified check sheet and rectify issues as required.
• To perform system checks updates & diagnosis as required.
• To complete sign off documentation
• To always work diligently and achieve time & quality standards
• To select & use correctly appropriate equipment and tools for the required work task
• To use equipment & tools in a safe manner using appropriate PPE as necessary
• To ensure the work environment is maintained in a safe & tidy manner & to sweep work area daily
• To respond to late/out of core hours & call out situations as required
• Occasional travel & overnight stays as required
• Will be required to provide fixed holiday cover as required
• Any other duties deemed within capability as required

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• Time Served Apprenticeship in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or can demonstrate occupational competence in an equivalent environment
• Able to work in a safe manner recognising potential risk to oneself and ones work colleagues
• Competent to use a range of hand & power tools as required to undertake designated work task efficiently & safely
• Able to work under own initiative and minimum supervision
• Thorough understanding of chassis driveline systems and components e.g. Volvo AD diesel & EV Voith Battery systems.
• Thorough understanding of engine systems and EV drive systems.
• Valid driving licence essential
• PSV licence essential
• IT proficiency to include through understanding of any diagnostic software for major vehicles systems e.g. Cummings engine software voith
