Job Summary
A thriving secondary school in Watford is seeking an experienced and committed Food Technician to join their Design Technology department with immediate effect. This is a full-time role within a high-performing school that values teamwork consistency and student safety.

The Role
As a Food Technician your responsibilities will include:
Preparing ingredients equipment and workstations for practical lessons
Supporting safe and efficient delivery of food lessons
Cleaning and maintaining specialist equipment and teaching kitchens
Managing food stock deliveries and storage documentation
Supporting teachers with exam and coursework requirements
Assisting with risk assessments and health & safety compliance
You will work closely with Food teachers and support staff to ensure pupils receive high-quality practical learning experiences in a safe and organised environment.
The Ideal Candidate
The school is seeking someone who:
Has previous experience as a Food Technician or in a professional kitchen/school environment
Holds relevant Food Hygiene certification (or is willing to complete this)
Is highly organised and able to work under pressure
Has strong attention to detail and safety
Demonstrates reliability and professionalism
