Austal Australia is delivering multiple naval shipbuilding and sustainment programs for the Royal Australian Navy Australian Border Force and the Department of Defence employing approximately 1000 people in facilities in located Western Australia Queensland and the Northern Territory.

Are you hands-on safety-focused and ready to be part of a high-performing team Austal is seeking a motivated permanent Yard Hand a to support our production operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your contribution directly impacts the success of our projects.
Whats Involved
As a Yard Hand youll play a key role in maintaining a safe clean and productive work environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Complete facility maintenance activities and yard work.
- Painting activities (line marking walkways etc.)
- Forklift Operation.
- Assisting trades when required.
- Operating forklifts EWP and other equipment safely and efficiently
- Working collaboratively with your team and taking ownership of your work
Youll Need
- Experience working in a similar labouring role
- Construction White Cad
- Knowledge of safe use of hand and power tools
- Forklift Licence
