Description:

We are looking for a senior level system administrator/engineer with deep knowledge and experience with VMWare. This role will be expected to perform system architect/design duties for both revamping current system design to fit new needs and developing a new and improved design as we migrate to the Hardware as a Service (HwaaS) platform. Experience with migrating from VMWare 7.x to VMWare 8.x and knowledge is strongly desired.

Provide optimization and automation across multiple platforms and applications
Drive consistency for deployment and build processes
You have worked with teams before on large and demonstrable projects
Focus on understanding customers needs and translating those needs from product specifications into functional production ready code and infrastructure
You are self-driven self-learner willing to share knowledge and participate actively in a team environment.

Due to federal contract requirements United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with customer appropriate polygraph).

Required Technical Skills:

Deep knowledge and experience with VMware vCenter Cisco switches VPNs VLANs Server Deployment
Experience with enclaves and firewalls (e.g. NSX Cisco ASA)
Experience related to network engineering design system fit-up and system deployment
General Windows and some Linux system administration and sustainment experience to include patching
Knowledge working with Storage Area Network (SAN) and Power Distribution Units
Familiarity with customer Security (i.e. STE/STN) requirements

Desired Technical Skills:

Experience with VMWare NSX
Experience with migrating from VMWare 7.x to VMWare 8.x is strongly desired
Knowledge and/or experience with Hardware as a Service (HWaaS) is desired

Required Certifications:

CWIP IAT Level I required

Salary Range: $180000.00 - $190000.00 (Annually)

Annual Compensation Figures listed for this position serve as a general guideline and are not a guarantee of compensation. Compensation will vary dependent upon factors including but not limited to: Government contract rates; education; relevant prior work experience knowledge skills and competencies; certifications and geographic location.
