Controller
Sacramento CA $115000-$130000 Direct Full-Time Hybrid Construction

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Controller will oversee all aspects of financial management including financial reporting compliance budgeting and forecasting. This role will manage the accounting team partner with senior leadership on strategic planning and ensure accurate and timely financial information to support business growth.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Manage the accounting department and ensure accuracy of financial statements (balance sheet income statement cash flow).

  • Prepare and present financial reports to leadership in compliance with GAAP.

  • Develop and manage budgets ensuring expenses align with financial goals.

  • Oversee compliance with local state and federal regulations as well as internal policies.

  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff to ensure efficient operations.

  • Collaborate with leadership on strategic initiatives including investments mergers and acquisitions.

  • Support quarterly and annual reporting processes.

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or related field.

  • CPA certification required.

  • 5 10 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting or finance.

  • Strong background in financial reporting budgeting and forecasting.

  • Leadership experience managing accounting or finance teams.

  • Proficiency with accounting software and financial management systems.

  • Strong analytical skills attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
