UW IIE Conference Planning Team - Competitions/Workshops
Being a member of the UW IIE Conference Planning Team is an important role with significant responsibility and requires a noteable time commitment. The Competitions and Workshops Team will be primarily responsible for organizing all daytime content of the conference. All competitions and seminars/ workshops will fall under this group. This will be a closely knit team with strong communication and detailed planning. The Competitions/ Workshop team will organize and coordinate their content before the conference and will ideally keep the plan on track during the weekend. Our objective is to seamlessly organize and execute all competitions and workshops along with coordinating all speakers/ judges logistics. We are looking for outgoing team oriented Coordinators who feel comfortable handling the content side of the 2016 IIE Waterloo Conference.
Case Study and Simulation Coordinator
In this position you will work closely with the the rest of the Competitions/Workshops Team to organize and handle logistics for two presentation competitions. For this position we are looking for a well organized timely individual with strong communication skills.
The Case Study Competition will require communication with a TBD company who will present the problem. This competition will require transportation to and from the on-site observation so you can expect to work closely with the logistics team as Simulation Competition will be run with Trellisys who will present the problem and we will reach out to participating schools for submission of their project. Both presentation competitions will contain speaking components and will come with their own set of logistics for addition to presentations logistics judges will be required for each competition so communication with other Coordinators will be crucial.
