Shift: Limited 28 hours per week Flexible day shift.
Job Duties:The staff chaplain is responsible for providing spiritual counsel support and direction to patients their families and the staff and clinical providers of the medical center; participating in the committees of the medical center regarding ethical religious and life-terminating decisions conducting worship and to teach pray and develop ministries and activities within the medical center and in the community.
Education: Work requires the knowledge of theories principles and concepts typically acquired through completion of a Masters of Divinity degree.
Work Experience: One year of general hospital Chaplain experience.
Certifications/Licensure: Requires completion of a minimum of two units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) training. Completion of four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) training is preferred.
Certification or certification-ready as a professional chaplain by a recognized national organization such as the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC).
Ecclesiastical endorsement by a recognized religious conference/synod is required.
Work Environment: Work is generally performed in an office or clinical environment in which there is only minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous work conditions.
Salary Range: Minimum 23.00/hour - Maximum 37.97/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
