About the Role
Tekberry is seeking a highly motivated Customer Claims Specialist / Arbitrator to work with our client a top-tier global automotive company supporting post-sale vehicle arbitration and dispute this role you will investigate vehicle condition complaints mediate disputes between buyers and sellers and ensure compliance with Manheim s National Arbitration policies and NAAA guidelines.

Job Responsibilities
- Review customer complaints and mechanic reports regarding vehicle condition and policy compliance.
- Inspect vehicles to determine the extent of repairs (if any) and authorize secondary inspections when needed.
- Advise customers on auction policies and the arbitration process facilitating resolutions between buyers and sellers.
- Mediate disputes and negotiate repair costs or pricing adjustments to achieve mutually acceptable outcomes and maintain sales.
- Resolve post-sale issues such as title discrepancies mileage inconsistencies and frame or structural damage.
- Maintain accurate records for each arbitration case ensuring completeness of documentation reports and settlement details.
- Collaborate with auction sales reconditioning and dealer services teams during the investigation and resolution process.
- Act as a liaison with federal and state authorities on cases involving odometer rollbacks salvage titles or other regulatory concerns.
- Promote auction services and post-sale inspection (PSI) programs to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Review claims to ensure compliance with Manheim s National Arbitration policies and account-specific guidelines; recommend or authorize financial adjustments as appropriate.
- Screen and input qualified vehicles for post-sale inspection informing buyers and sellers of process costs and timelines.
- Demonstrate and model a strong commitment to workplace safety following all safety and health procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor s degree preferred.
- 3 5 years of automotive-related experience required ideally in mechanical body shop auction or claims environments.
- Experience in complaint recording conflict resolution or arbitration strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of federal and state vehicle arbitration laws and NAAA standards.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to compose detailed and accurate reports.
- Proven organizational problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM or case management systems.
- Physical requirements: ability to stand walk kneel crouch or climb as needed; lift up to 20 lbs; maintain accurate depth and color vision.
