POSITION OBJECTIVE: The job of Teacher (K-12) on Assignment for Assessment is for the purpose of developing administering coordinating and reporting the assessment process of students; documenting information on students proficiency in English or academic skills; and ensuring compliance with legal and administrative requirements. | |
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.) State Mandated Testing Acts as liaison between the Arizona Department of Education their test scoring contractor and District and School staff for State-mandated tests for the purpose of ensuring compliance with State timelines and accuracy of test results. Works with Information Management and Technology Services Chief Systems Officer Provides direction and assistance to site testing coordinators (e.g. scheduling testing monitoring testing preparation of materials for scoring etc.) for the purpose of ensuring proper testing protocols to meet state and district standards. Writes instructions for test administration schedules test return deadlines and arranges for scoring of testing and for dissemination of results. Oversees ordering test materials for the schools. Receives inspects inventories and distributes test materials to schools test administrators. Attends conferences and workshops at the county and state level to keep current with compliance and State regulation issues for mandated testing; disseminates information from workshops to test site coordinators to ensure compliance with State regulations. Facilitates the administration of testing including the acquisition of testing materials and coordination with the school sites regarding their preparation in the testing procedures. Assists Test Site Coordinators in determining appropriate number of testing materials utilizing enrollment/course data. Maintains the security over all testing materials related data and confidential student information using procedures set forth by the Arizona Department of Education. Maintains confidential historical records of individual student test results. Attends system-wide training sessions and conducts local training sessions for school staff on proper conditions practices and procedures for testing. Conducts training in test administration for the purpose of educating proper procedures protocols and test security for State and Federal mandated tests. Scoring Collaborates with data processing programmers (e.g. scoring and formatting test results creating employee surveys etc.) for the purpose of ensuring accurate output documents Communication Composes documents (e.g. correspondence memorandum reports etc.) for the purpose of communicating information to school and district personnel state officials etc. Coordinates the preparation of reports collection of data records maintenance etc. for the purpose of ensuring availability of information and meeting district state or federal requirements. Participates on committees task forces etc. for the purpose of providing information about student testing Coordinates the district review committee for district benchmark review for the purpose of insuring quality control. Responds to inquiries from various internal and external parties (e.g. staff parents students public agencies etc.) for the purpose of providing information facilitating communication among departments and/or providing direction as may be required. Composes appropriate memorandums and other correspondence to district personnel regarding testing and late start days. Benchmark Assists with coordination of district wide training for our benchmark assessment technology as well as training administration on assessments. Manages the district proficiency assessment program. Conducts research projects surveys and needs assessments. Calendar Schedules student tests and publishes the District student testing calendar for the purpose of evaluating students in accordance with state requirements. Coordinates the scheduling and administering of state and district-wide testing and assessment programs. Develops testing calendar relative to district; coordinates with test site coordinators and site personnel timelines for testing schedules and make-up schedules. Communicates late start schedules to transportation and nutritional services. Performs other related essential functions as assigned.
