Part Time (0.6 FTE - Can discuss full time options if preferred) Learning Support Permanent to commence in January 2026

$92000-$130000 per annum depending on experience

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and energetic Learning Support Teacher to work with our experienced team in a vibrant co-educational environment.

Do you have

  • A Bachelor of Education or appropriate tertiary/teaching qualification
  • Post Graduate qualification in Special Education or equivalent or equivalent industry experience
  • Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)
  • A current First Aid Certificate in an Education and Care environment (or willingness to obtain)
  • A CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

Are you a team player who can

  • Assist teachers to develop intervention strategies for students at risk and effectively identifying areas of concern in Literacy and Numeracy
  • Recognise diverse student needs cultural linguistic religious gender language diversities and socio-economic differences and treat each child with dignity and respect.
  • Create and maintain Student Snapshots profiles for those with Specific Learning Difficulties
  • Develop and review IEPs for Tier 3 case management students each semester and aid teachers in effectively implementing Individual Education Programs for Tier 3 case management students.
  • Oversee the Practices and Processes for supporting students with disability through the completion of the NCCD (Nationally Consistent Collection of Data) on School Students with Disability
  • Support teachers to capture evidence to support the application of NCCD model around determining level of adjustment and category of disability
  • Collate and confirm NCCD data; report status to Primary Leadership.
  • Liaise with and support parents and actively encourage parent involvement
  • Encourage students to be lifelong learners
