QA Engineer

Role Overview:
Euronext Market Services is seeking aQuality Assurance Engineerto join theData Systems team in Porto. The QA will play a critical role in a major transformation project migrating our data platform from a centralized data warehouse architecture on Amazon Redshift to a modern lakehouse platform built aroundApache Iceberg.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with other QA engineers and developers to:

• Validate thefunctional resultsof new developments.
• Conductdata comparison teststo identify regressions and discrepancies.
• Ensure high standards ofdata qualityacross the new platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design maintain and execute test plans
• Validate data consistency completeness and performance across legacy and new platforms
• Use testing frameworks toenhance data quality checks.
• Collaborate with development data engineering and QA peers to ensure delivery of reliable accurate data applications.
• Contribute to the definition of QA best practices within the data platform transformation.
• Identify and report issues and follow up on resolution.
• Document test cases results and QA processes (XRAY JIRA Confluence ).

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience as aQA Engineerwith a focus ondata platforms.
• StrongSQL skills(advanced queries joins aggregations performance checks).
• Hands-on experience validatingdata pipelines and platforms in public cloud environments especiallyAWS.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and automation (e.g. Jenkins GitLab).

• Solid understanding ofQA core competencies including:
  • System testing
  • Non-regression testing
  • Test planning & exécution
  • Testing strategies

• Experience leveraging QA/testing frameworks fordata quality assurance.
• Experience testing applications using frameworks likeApache Airflow Apache Flink andApache Sparkis a plus.
• Familiarity withPython and JavaDevelopment is a good asset.
• Familiarity with Linux and shell scripting is a plus
• Familiarity with financial markets is a strong advantage or strong motivation to learn the functional domain.
• Good communication skills in English.
