About us

Southside Racing operates high-class horse racing and training facilities at both Tynong and Cranbourne as well as three 7-day-a-week hospitality and entertainment venues the Cardinia Club Club Officer and Silks Cranbourne. These are a vital part of our business and allow us to provide our members with a wide range of hospitality and entertainment options.

The opportunity

Southside Racing is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to assume the role of Sales Executive Casual Race Day Outbound for the Pakenham area.

The Sales Executive Race Day (Outbound) plays a key role in growing race day event sales through proactive outreach. Reporting to the CMO this role is all about being out and about connecting with the community and bringing our race day experiences to life.

This position begins with a casual full-time schedule of 38 hours per week for the first 10 weeks. After this initial period hours may be adjusted in line with business needs offering flexibility and the opportunity to grow with the role.

Youll spend most of your week on the road meeting with local businesses clubs and community groups across the Cardinia Shire and the surrounds. While therell be the occasional touchpoint in the office the focus is very much out in the field. A company pool vehicle is available to support your travel.

Responsibilities:

Sales & Strategy

  • Drive outbound sales for race day functions and events.
  • Work with the CMO on targeted sales strategies aligned with club objectives.
  • Generate new leads and build relationships with local businesses clubs and organisations.
  • Execute follow-ups and convert enquiries into bookings.

Customer Engagement

  • Deliver a seamless client experience from first contact to confirmed sale.
  • Provide professional prompt service to all clients and prospects.
  • Build strong relationships that encourage repeat business.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales or business development.
  • Strong ability to build rapport and close deals.
  • Comfortable working to targets and KPIs.
  • Confident communicator with a proactive mindset.
  • Creative thinker who can help craft and deliver compelling offers.
