Description

About the Role

This role exists to support the Blak and Proud research study. The role will support community engagement with the research project development of resources coordination of training and implementation of changes within ATSICHS Brisbane.

Duties

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders including community members staff and partners.
  • Ensure clear communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the governance structures in place for the project.
  • Support the development and documentation of the new practice model for LGBTQIASB healthcare at ATSICHS Woolloongabba clinic.
  • Support the development and documentation of the new accreditation standards.
  • Support the development of proper communication strategies internally and externally related to the new model of care.
  • Support a communication and marketing strategy for accreditation of the BLAK PRIDE certification program.

  • Starting salary of $82732 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience) 12% Super Not for Profit Salary Packaging (Increases your take home pay).

Skills And Experiences

COVID-19 Requirements

  • Immunisation history showing you have received two doses of a Covid 19 vaccine is encouraged.

  • A certificate or diploma in a relevant health administration or services field.
  • Experience supporting the rollout of programs or projects.
  • Strong understanding of cultural social and economic issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to meet project milestones arrange meetings workshops & interviews (participants) document minutes and actions follow up with stakeholders arrange training.
  • Deep knowledge of the cultural social and economic factors affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities particularly for those who identify as LGBTQIASB.
  • Strong understanding of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community health service sector including primary health clinic operations and systems.
  • Appreciation of the principles of research working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities including the self determination of research that is led by community through community-controlled organisations.

Desirable

  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Addition Requirements

  • National Police Check.
  • Current Working with Children Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening (Yellow Card) or be eligible to apply.
  • Current Drivers Licence.
  • Evidence of Work Rights.
  • Travel between work sites on a regular basis.
