Job Title: IT Support Technician Reports to: IT Systems Administrator Direct Reports: None
Job Summary: The IT Support Technician role is an mid-level role focused on providing essential IT support including setting up new devices running system reports and assisting with basic troubleshooting. This position works under the direction of the IT Systems Administrator and plays a key role in ensuring smooth IT operations by performing routine tasks and supporting the technological needs of the organization. Key Responsibilities:
Set up configure and deploy new hardware and software for employees including supporting onboarding.
Run system and performance reports monitor system health and assist with troubleshooting hardware software and network issues.
Maintain and update user accounts permissions and access controls.
Track IT assets assist with inventory management and ensure proper documentation of devices.
Assist with running backups verifying completion and supporting software installations updates and patches.
Provide technical support for office and field staff answering IT-related questions and resolving minor issues.
Help maintain system documentation IT policies and assist with ongoing IT infrastructure improvements.
Collaborate with internal teams to support various IT needs including assisting with projects events and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in IT support or a related field.
Basic understanding of computer hardware software and operating systems.
Familiarity with setting up and configuring desktop devices printers and peripheral equipment.
Strong willingness to learn and grow in IT system administration.
Good communication skills with the ability to assist non-technical staff.
Ability to handle basic troubleshooting tasks independently and escalate issues when necessary.
Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods.
Occasional lifting of light to moderate objects up to 25 pounds.
Handling small objects and using office equipment.
Some walking standing and bending as needed.
Work Environment: This role is based in a climate-controlled office with ergonomic desks and equipment moderate noise levels and access to necessary office tools (computers printers phones).
