DescriptionJOB SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of the Food Runner is to expedite all food orders taken by the Bartenders and Cocktail Servers to the guest quickly.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Serve Food in a timely manner.
- Ensure the food order is correct before serving to the guests.
- Monitor tables closely and be attentive to guests needs.
- Describe in detail the preparation methods and ingredients of all the menu items.
- Carry multiple dishes (up to 3 at one time) in one hand without tray service.
- Refresh flatware after each course or upon guest request.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area/station.
- Ensure that your work area/station is clean and stocked at all times.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: (knowledge skills and abilities)
- Extensive Knowledge of food and beverage products.
- Ability to perform basic/intermediate math skills.
- Ability to operate point-of-sales systems.
- Ability to read write and understand English.
- Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with guests staff and management.
- Knowledge understanding and compliance with policies and procedures job descriptions daily memorandums chemical labels and other instructions.
PHYSICAL MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to work from a standing position for extended periods of time.
- Ability to perform reaching and stooping motions repeatedly.
- Visual ability needed to accurately measure ingredients for mixing drinks.
- Fast-paced high-volume environment involving constant public.
- Requires standing walking and lifting a minimum of 20 lbs repeatedly.
- Shifts may vary based on business needs.
- Must be able to handle intoxicated guests in a professional manner.
- Must be able to tolerate secondary tobacco smoke.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Work requires 6 months of previous food server/running experience.
- Work requires effective communication in English both verbal and written form in a professional manner.
- Must present a neat and professional appearance.
- Work requires interactions with customers the public and co-workers.
- Work requires teamwork with other staff members.
EDUCATION:
- High School education or equivalent.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATE:
- Food Safety Team Member Training is required.
- Tam Card Required
