Within Capital One Global Enterprise Affairs (GEA) is an organization dedicated to delivering on Capital Ones Mission by strengthening our reputation deepening our relationships in our communities managing engagement with the federal bank regulatory agencies and serving as Capital Ones voice in the legislative and political processes at the federal state and local levels. The CRA Strategy & Program Management (CRA S&PM) team partners with lines of business across the enterprise to sustain Capital Ones longstanding Outstanding CRA performance. We maintain high data quality and control standards and develop and support effective strategies with each applicable business. Most importantly we manage CRA examinations by showing the bank examiners how Capital One effectively responds to the lending investment and service needs of the communities where we do business. We convey Capital Ones comprehensive and durable approach to improving the financial well-being of low- and moderate-income people and neighborhoods.
CRA S&PMs Data Analysis Technology & Automation (DATA) team is looking for a self-starting analytical and enthusiastic Manager to play a critical role in continuing the companys track record of Outstanding CRA performance. The ideal candidate will analyze data and generate reports for CRA strategic planning performance monitoring and examination preparation in addition to playing a key role in helping manage the DATA teams risks and controls.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyzing lending investment and services data from a variety of business lines for the purpose of CRA performance monitoring
Generating data files reports and presentation materials for bank executives senior management the board and bank regulators
Acting as a CRA subject matter expert to internal business partners
Working with the technology team to improve work efficiency and automate current reporting processes
Performing the controls and risk management responsibilities for the DATA team
Providing assistance and actively participating in CRA projects and other initiatives (e.g. CRA examination Community Benefit Plan audit)
A successful candidate will have:
Strong analytical problem-solving and research skills particularly in handling large datasets
Fluency with SQL databases spreadsheets and presentations including pivot tables basic formulas and charts
Programming and data visualization skills are preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to transform complex concepts or ideas into simple easy-to-understand formats (e.g. charts presentations documents)
Strong organizational and project management skills
Strong adaptability learning skills and attention to detail
Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
A creative mindset and demonstrated ability to think outside the box
A positive attitude and strong work ethic with motivation and passion to do great work in support of our communities
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or military experience
At least 3 years experience in data analysis and data-driven story-telling
At least 1 year of experience in Tableau or BI reporting tool
At least 1 year of experience using Google Suite products
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 5 years of professional data analysis work experience
At least 2 years of experience with Snowflake Python R Spark or SQL
At least 2 years of experience in Tableau or BI reporting tool knowledge
At least 2 years of experience in the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) field
At least 1 year of experience with CRA Wiz or other CRA analytical products

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Plano TX: $115200 - $131500 for Manager CRA Strategy and Program ManagementCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
