Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanic to diagnose repair and maintain a variety of vehicles. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in automotive repair a strong understanding of vehicle systems and a commitment to delivering excellent service. You will work in a fast-paced environment collaborating with service advisors and other technicians to ensure customer satisfaction.

Tasks

Diagnosis: Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical electrical or electronic issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Repairs: Perform repairs on engines transmissions brakes suspension systems and other vehicle components to restore functionality.
Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes tire rotations fluid checks and filter replacements.
Component Replacement: Replace worn or damaged parts such as belts hoses spark plugs and batteries adhering to manufacturer specifications.
Testing: Test vehicles post-repair to ensure proper operation and safety including road tests when necessary.
Documentation: Record service details parts used and labor performed in work orders for accurate customer billing and records.
Customer Interaction: Communicate with service advisors to explain repair needs and provide updates on vehicle status.
Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a safe and organized work environment adhering to shop safety protocols and proper tool usage.

Requirements

Must have vast knowledge on vehicle repairs and maintenance.
Must be able to detect vehicle faults and facilitate repairs.
Minimise vehicle repair cost as much as possible.
Must have at least 5 years experience in this field and should be able to drive.
