Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanic to diagnose repair and maintain a variety of vehicles. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in automotive repair a strong understanding of vehicle systems and a commitment to delivering excellent service. You will work in a fast-paced environment collaborating with service advisors and other technicians to ensure customer satisfaction.
Tasks
- Diagnosis: Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical electrical or electronic issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Repairs: Perform repairs on engines transmissions brakes suspension systems and other vehicle components to restore functionality.
- Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes tire rotations fluid checks and filter replacements.
- Component Replacement: Replace worn or damaged parts such as belts hoses spark plugs and batteries adhering to manufacturer specifications.
- Testing: Test vehicles post-repair to ensure proper operation and safety including road tests when necessary.
- Documentation: Record service details parts used and labor performed in work orders for accurate customer billing and records.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate with service advisors to explain repair needs and provide updates on vehicle status.
- Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a safe and organized work environment adhering to shop safety protocols and proper tool usage.
Requirements
- Must have vast knowledge on vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Must be able to detect vehicle faults and facilitate repairs.
- Minimise vehicle repair cost as much as possible.
- Must have at least 5 years experience in this field and should be able to drive.
