Job Description
Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department
Location: Ithaca NY
Job Type: Contract Local or Travel
Shift: Night (3x12-hour shifts)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Emergency Department team for a night shift position in Ithaca NY. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient- and family-centered care actively participate in individualized care planning and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional outcomes for emergency patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care including triage assessments and critical interventions
Monitor patient conditions and update care plans accordingly
Collaborate with providers case managers crisis evaluators social workers and ED technicians
Maintain timely and accurate documentation
Participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives
Adhere to hospital policies and patient safety protocols
Qualifications:
Active RN license (state-specific)
Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience (Emergency or Acute Care preferred)
BLS and ACLS certifications required
PALS and TNCC preferred
Strong critical thinking communication and leadership skills
