About the Role
The Support Services Technician plays a key role in ensuring the operational efficiency of the EMS department by providing logistical support for IT application monitoring and troubleshooting managing the procurement and distribution of both medical and non-medical equipment and supplies ensuring EMS units meet New Jersey Department of Health standards and maintaining the departments readiness to respond to emergency calls.
Responsibilities
What Youll Do
- Provide logistical support for monitoring and troubleshooting University Hospital IT applications.
- Manage the procurement and distribution of medical and non-medical equipment and supplies.
- Ensure EMS units comply with New Jersey Department of Health regulations.
- Maintain the EMS departments readiness to respond to emergency assistance requests.
Qualifications
What Youll Bring
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Active valid certification as an Emergency Medical Technician or a Paramedic
- Minimum of one (1) year of logistics experience preferred.
- At least two (2) years of EMS experience required.
- At least two (2) years of EMS driving experience with a good driving record required.
- Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with passenger endorsement preferred.
- Must be able to pass a medical evaluation and respirator fit test.
- Must be able to wear an N95 particulate respirator in compliance with PEOSHA standards.
- Ability to read write speak understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform job duties.
- Strong interpersonal skills required.
- Exceptional customer service skills required.
Compensation
The expected hourly range for this position is TT 1825:$26.61- $27.11 -$27.92 per hour in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
