Kepak St. Merryn in Merthyr Tydfilhas combined beef and lamb processing and packing facilities. We offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers counters to branded packaged meat all as part of our service; raised on open pastures sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers we produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.
This position will be based on site at Kepak Merthyr working Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5pm.
IT Support and Maintenance:
Assist with the installation configuration and maintenance of office and production IT hardware and software systems.
Help users troubleshoot IT issues related to desktops laptops printers and software applications.
Assist with the troubleshooting of both production and IT issues related to desktops laptops printers and software applications.
Support the IT team in maintaining an inventory of IT equipment and ensure supplies are adequate.
Learn to configure and maintain network devices such as switches routers and access points.
Assist in monitoring network performance and help resolve basic network connectivity issues.
Support the implementation of network security measures.
Assist with managing user accounts permissions and access rights across IT systems.
Learn to monitor and maintain server performance implementing system updates as directed.
Support the IT team in ensuring that company IT policies and security protocols are followed.
Help enforce best practices for data protection and IT operations.
Assist in maintaining accurate records of IT equipment hardware and software licenses.
Support in tracking IT assets from procurement through to disposal.
Learn to perform routine maintenance on IT hardware such as desktops laptops printers and network devices.
Assist with coordinating external vendor repairs and warranty services when needed.
Provide first-line support for IT-related inquiries from staff escalating more complex issues as needed.
Assist in user training sessions and help create documentation for IT systems and processes.
Maintain awareness of health and safety standards including IT practices relevant to food hygiene in the production environment.
Adhere to company Health & Safety protocols.
Assist with maintaining documentation of IT systems configurations and procedures.
Help generate reports on IT support activities and system performance for review.
Any other duties as required by management and within the competency of the post holder
