Job Description

Remote in the State of California with preference to candidates who live in/near San Francisco San Jose Los Angeles or San Diego California.

The Sales Manager Biopharma will specifically focus on sales and the application of PSG Biotech products from brands such as Quattroflow Malema and Em-tec within the biopharmaceutical industry aligning with the goals and objectives of Dover and PSG. This individual will be the key driver for sales and focused initiatives in the assigned market coordinating efforts with all other areas including Marketing and Manufacturing to manage projects support customers both commercially and technically and drive sales growth.

What Youll Do

  • Responsiblefor incremental sales growthaccording to the business plan in the following territory: US West Coast the Midwest and Western Canada
  • Achieve projected gains by developing and deploying Value-Added sales concepts versus simply order taking.
  • Use route-to-market paths including sales through optimized sales and distribution channels as necessary to maximize growth coherently and sustainably.
  • Help develop and implement a route-to-market channel model for OEM Direct and Rep sales as a compatible Biopharma marketplace and emerging single-use repeat business model.
  • Succeed in creating specification push/pull through OEM system integrators and A&E firms.
  • Capture and document market share from tube pump companies with dominance in the industry.
  • Reporting and cloning successes within the region globally and material for marketing collateral.
  • Implement and regularly use processes like goal setting/tracking key project tracking.
  • Assist with creating sales marketing and other budgets to support biopharma activities and then manage them responsibly.
  • Take a leadership position in an industry association or trade group such as BPSA ISPE ASME BPE or other.
  • Establish ties with leading biopharma higher education institutions in the assigned territory.
  • Be directly involved in key individual sales projects and assure that correct data is collected and evaluated to confirmproper equipment matchearly in sales process.
  • Trainindividuals serving the biopharma/life sciences market the specific knowledge to be able to perform autonomously in this market.
  • Performsmarket analysison a regular basis in order to understand how changing business conditions (political socio-economic demographic certifying agencies etc.) might and remain proactive in defining actions to mitigate any potential impacts.
  • Assist PSG in developingVoice of the Customerinitiatives as a method of defining new product opportunities
  • Assist the PSG Director of Business Development to identify strong acquisition candidates that offer a significant opportunity for growth within the assigned market.
  • Provide raw material or access tomarketing collateral generation. Work closely with marketing to develop necessary tools.
  • Prioritize and lead trade shows (both PSG and distributor co-op) for maximum effectiveness.
  • Assist in developing capturing processing and tracking ofsales leads.
  • Interface withglobal Biopharma sales teamand serve as example in information exchange.

What Youll Bring

  • Bachelors in engineering Business or a Science-related field
  • 5 years of sales experience
  • 3 years of experience working inside life sciences/biopharmaceutical industry with an understanding of the sales process and certification requirements in this industry.
  • 3 years of experience in selling pump sensor and/or control solutions specifically in the biopharma market.
  • Self-sufficient and self-motivated
  • Able to work with little supervision and communicate plans and outcomes effectively
  • Willing to travel (drive and air) up to up to 50% of the time (mainly within the primary sales Geo-region)
  • Attend trade shows and meetings as needed maintaining records necessary for effective planning.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Skills (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint) experience with Salesforce and effective use of modern technologies to leverage time.
  • Able to demonstrate technical problem-solving prowess
  • Clear concise and articulate verbal written listening and interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to multi-task and perform in a dynamic environment including conducting business support tasks while traveling on business
  • Self-starter with ability to solve problems anticipating and avoiding issues
  • Impeccable organization and efficiency skills and strong attention to details
  • Able to maintain positive attitude and energy while interfacing with wide array of individuals and balancing multiple tasks

Work Arrangement : Remote

Pay Range: $130000.00 - $160000.00 annually

Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
