Introduction

To make a Product Nation the simple first step is a product. And we built one. Scanova is a QR Code Management tool that allows businesses to create design manage and track QR Code-based interactions. Over 400 customers including Amazon Cisco Intel 7Eleven Aon Hewitt Staples and Zynga from about 114 countries use Scanova daily to connect their customers from offline print media to online content.
Scanova combines image processing and web technology to allow marketers to design their QR Codes in a matter of seconds. On the front end Scanova is based on AngularJs and HTML5Python based Django Web Framework with Apache and modwsgi on Amazon EC2 instances. We use MYSQL databases running on Amazon RDS servers.
Scanova was our first baby step. But we are not stopping here. We are in the process of building a suite of products that revolve around QR Code technologyQR Code Generation & Design APIs and SDK QR Code Batch Generation QR Code Ticketing and QR Code-based Authentication. We are also in the planning stage of pushing these products in non-English speaking countries by making our website and apps multi-lingual. For Scanova and its team there is a long road ahead.
To service the long road ahead Scanova is looking to strengthen its development & product team i.e. hardcore problem-solvers.
Job Description
Specifically we are looking for a Full-stack Web Developer who will be required to:
- Co-conceptualize and build Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products in the offline-to-online (O2O) space. Specifically you will need to:
- Discuss possibilities of scalable SaaS products (QR Code ticketing authentication etc.) that solves challenges faced by businesses or consumers
- Conceptualize product design and architecture for high performance and scalability
- Develop the product using scalable & efficient technologies and best practices
- Enhance existing product Scanova with new features performance optimization and conversion rate optimization tactics. Specifically this will include:
- Development and maintenance of back-end infrastructure and integrations written in Python - Django deployed on AWS
- Research and application of new technologies and best practices to product architecture and design
- Maintenance and improvement of the user-facing website and web-app based on inputs from the UI/UX team
- Participation in regular bug fixing and feature implementations
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the role you must have the following prerequisites and skills:
- 2 years of professional experience developing web applications using Django
- Understanding of front-end technologies such as JavaScript AngularJS jQuery HTML5 Bootstrap and CSS3
- Experience working with Git MySQL Ajax Apache/Nginx SSH Linux and Grunt/Gulp
- Experience developing and consuming Restful web APIs
- Hands-on experience developing releasing deploying and maintaining web applications
- Ability to work single-handedly in a small team

About the Company
Our legal name is Trycon Technologies Private Limited but we call ourselves Scanova. The company was started in 2013 by Gautam Garg Mukesh Gupta and Swapnil Jain - all alumni of Delhi College of Engineering (2010 & 2011 batch).
