Software Engineer Game Development

About the Role

Were looking for ambitious and driven Software Engineers who are passionate about building high-quality world-class games. The ideal candidate has strong computer science fundamentals writes clean and well-documented code and enjoys solving complex technical challenges.

This role offers the opportunity to collaborate across multiple teams within a fast-paced game studio environment working on a range of innovative projects and contributing to scalable high-performance backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend systems for current and upcoming mobile game projects.

• Lead backend and frontend development for new mobile titles setting up infrastructure from scratch while following best practices.

• Collaborate with product managers designers and other developers to design and structure APIs databases and service integrations.

• Contribute across all stages of development from design and implementation to testing and deployment ensuring high-quality and reliable deliverables.

• Design and build tools to automate diagnostics performance tracking and server reliability.

• Participate actively in code reviews sprint planning and development cycles to ensure continuous progress and quality improvement.

What Were Looking For

• 2 years of experience building production-grade applications.

• Strong programming skills in Python Golang Java or TypeScript.

• Proven ability to build APIs from scratch.

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as GCP AWS or Azure.

• Experience working with serverless backends deployments and workload management on cloud environments.

• Solid understanding of Kubernetes or ECS for container orchestration.

• Strong working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Excellent debugging problem-solving and performance optimization skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Familiarity with backend frameworks such as FastAPI or NodeJS for API design and development.

• Understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.

• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus ELK or Grafana.

• Bonus: Prior experience in game development or with Unity.

• Bonus: Exposure to native or cross-platform mobile development.

• Bonus: Experience in video streaming CDN or interactive video applications.
