As the area Process Engineer you will be accountable for sizing and metallurgical process performance. Work daily with the Mining Operations Team members under the direction of the Mill Superintendent to accomplish plant objectives in the areas of Safety Environmental Recovery Quality Reliability Production Efficiency Cost Reduction and Innovation. Responsibilities:--- Performs and/or initiates effective and timely engineering and technical studies to troubleshoot known plant problems predict impending problems and to optimize plant operations.--- Interacts daily with operators and shift supervisors to learn and share knowledge of the plant operations improve overall Mill performance.--- Closely monitors real time and historical plant data from log sheets data historian lab analysis plant inspections etc. to detect abnormalities and to optimize plant operation.--- Ensures that Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Standard Operating Procedures are complete and up-to-date.--- Performs and/or facilitates training for operations personnel as needed.--- Tracks and reports reagent consumption and efficiencies.--- Manages the Process Safety Management of Change (MOC) process for the Mill.--- Performs and/or contributes to thorough process reviews Hazard and Operability Studies (HazOps) and What If analyses on current operations and on proposed changes to plant equipment processes and systems.--- Monitors and reports equipment (pump cyclone and flotation) efficiencies.--- Closely monitors quality of raw materials process chemicals and finished product :--- B.S. Metallurgical Mining (with Mineral Processing background) or Chemical Engineering with 5 yrs experience in mineral processing plant operations pumping systems process control systems and project management.--- Solid technical experience with slurry pumping flotation and cyclone equipment.--- US Citizenship or Permanent Resident (Green Card) status is required.
