Application Sales Representative

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Application Sales Representative (ASR) to join our team. This role is critical in supporting customers and prospects primarily via phone and email by developing product specifications preparing quotations and resolving product-related inquiries.

The ASR serves as the primary internal point of contact for customers and prospects collaborating with outside sales teams and internal specialists to deliver exceptional service and ensure customer satisfaction.

This is a fast-paced customer-facing role that requires strong organizational skills technical acumen and the ability to build trusted relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties:

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of product lines and their applications.
  • Assess customer needs and create accurate quotations for parts and systems.
  • Provide technical information and drawings to support customer requests.
  • Partner with outside sales product managers and internal teams to secure business opportunities.
  • Handle day-to-day customer requests including pricing availability order status and shipping updates.
  • Document and escalate customer concerns or complaints promptly.
  • Coordinate with technical teams on complex issues or product failures.
  • Initiate engineering requests for new part numbers bills of materials or product enhancements.

Secondary Duties:

  • Update customer records in the CRM system.
  • Reschedule orders with manufacturing as needed.
  • Support Quality and EHS policies.
  • Uphold company values in all interactions.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical product information and apply it to customer needs.
  • Experience working with quotations customer service or technical sales preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM or ERP systems a plus.
  • Customer-first mindset with a commitment to providing outstanding service.

  • Travel:Minimal with occasional travel for trade shows customer site visits or training.
  • Work Environment:Fast-paced team-oriented customer-focused.
