Job Summary

Join a Leading Neonatology Team in Richmond VA

Henrico Doctors Hospital Richmonds largest delivery center is seeking a compassionate Board Certified/Board Eligible Neonatologist to join a highly collaborative and innovative team. Our facility features a Level III NICU providing 24/7 in-house coverage in a state-of-the-art single-family room environment dedicated to excellence in neonatal care.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional neonatal intensive care in a 40-bed Level III NICU.
Collaborate with a dedicated group of Neonatologists for round-the-clock in-house coverage.
Utilize advanced therapies such as HFOV HFJV inhaled nitric oxide and therapeutic hypothermia.
Work alongside on-site pediatric surgery and cardiology specialists for comprehensive care.
Coordinate with a nurse-led neonatal transport team for patient transfers and emergency situations.
Deliver care in a single-family room NICU model that prioritizes family-centered care.
No requirement to cover the newborn nursery; focus exclusively on NICU patients.
Participate in quality improvement safety initiatives and collaborative clinical research.
Contribute to a team culture that values innovation education and compassionate family support.

Qualifications:

Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
Board Certified in Pediatrics.
Virginia medical license or willingness to obtain a Virginia license.
Clean malpractice and license history is highly preferred.

License and Certification Requirements:

Medical license to practice in Virginia (or willingness to obtain).
Board Certified (BC) Pediatrics.
Board Eligible (BE) or Board Certified (BC) in Neonatology.
