Job Summary
About the role:
As a Technical Developer Connections Manager on the Developer Connections team youll play a key role in supporting and empowering our creator community. Youll lead high-priority creator escalations collaborate closely with product and engineering teams during platform incidents and develop internal tools and automation to streamline support workflows and increase team efficiency. Your expertise in performance optimization will be critical to delivering solutions to our developers. With a deep knowledge of Roblox Studio and its creator ecosystem youll also foster strong collaborative relationships with developers across the platform.
You will:
- Respond to and manage creator emergency escalations including weekend and holiday coverage with time off and a flexible work schedule to ensure emergencies are covered.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to resolve real-time creator issues and platform incidents.
- Contribute technical expertise to help identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in games and experiences.
- Automate support workflows using Python scripts to streamline tasks like ticket triage tagging and escalation.
- Build integrations between ticketing and internal platforms (e.g. Jira Zendesk Salesforce Discord) to ensure seamless data flow and response coordination.
- Engage with the creator community to provide support guidance and technical insight.
- Manage communication between Roblox staff and creators.
You have:
- 3 years of experience in game development.
- Bachelors degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Experience developing on Roblox and/or other creation platforms.
- In-depth understanding of Roblox and the Roblox creator community.
- Solid knowledge of the technical aspects of Roblox Studio.
- Proven expertise in performance optimization debugging and profiling for games or interactive experiences.
- Strong scripting skills in Python and Lua.
- Familiarity with Roblox Studio tools and workflows.
- Motivated by teamwork and naturally fosters collaboration.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates patience empathy and a consistently positive attitude.
- Proactive and self-directed able to define and manage personal workflows.
