Description

Are you ready to launch your career in payroll Do you enjoy working with numbers solving problems and supporting others If so this is a fantastic opportunity to join Cornwall Councils Payroll team as a Payroll Apprentice.

We process over 30 monthly payrolls and provide payroll services to Cornwall Council schools academies and external organisationspaying over 30000 people each month. As an apprentice youll gain valuable experience in a busy payroll environment while working towards a nationally recognisedLevel 3 Payroll Administratorqualification.

What youll be doing:

  • Supporting the accurate and timely processing of payrolls
  • Assisting with pay-related queries from employees and managers
  • Learning how to apply payroll legislation and Council policies
  • Using payroll systems and Microsoft Excel to manage and analyse data

What were looking for:

  • A genuine interest in payroll
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning
  • Basic IT skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
