Job Summary

Job Title:Hospital Pharmacist
Location: Hyannis MA 02601
Duration: 13-week assignment (with potential for extension)
Shift: 08 hrs/day & 40 hrs/week (Rotating weekends and holidays; primarily 3 PM11 PM and 9 AM5 PM occasional 4 PM12 AM or 8 AM4 PM)
Pay: $83/hour

Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience.
Graduate of an accredited pharmacy program.
Ability to practice hospital pharmacy in accordance with current standards.
Proficiency in operating required equipment.
Must be currently licensed as a Pharmacist in Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

Prepare dispense and control medications and other pharmaceuticals in compliance with Federal State professional and institutional standards.
Stay updated on pharmaceutical advancements and developments.
Assign and monitor tasks of supportive personnel.
Review medication orders for completeness accuracy and appropriateness (dosage compatibilities scheduling drug choice etc.).
Compound pharmaceuticals including IV admixtures TPN and other preparations using accepted standards of practice.
Ensure proper labeling storage and record-keeping as required by law and policy.
Provide drug information and guidance to medical nursing and other healthcare professionals as needed.
Issue and manage medications supplied to patient care units and other authorized areas.
Provide medication order-entry clinical information and telephone support during evening/night shifts following institutional policies and procedures.
Deliver consistent service excellence to patients families visitors volunteers and coworkers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
