About the Role
The Identity team is responsible for a variety of core systems at Twitch including those that store who-am-I information about users implement business logic for privacy compliance and handle authorization and authentication. These systems sit at the bottom of the call stack of many other systems in Twitchs microservices-based architecture and are critical to Twitchs ongoing success. Developing and maintaining these systems is an ongoing challenge because they are complex high throughput and require intense focus on security by nature.
As a Senior Engineering Manager Identity you will partner with other engineering managers technical program managers and product management to modernize and reimagine Twitchs Identity stack to delight our customers. Reporting to the Director of Identity Privacy and Security Platforms you will lead a team of 8 engineers as you bring operational maturity and excellence to the teams authentication and authorization systems.
You are experienced in the identity space at consumer web scale you bring awareness of the industrys cutting edge and youre a deeply passionate and inspiring leader of people. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
