We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and providing excellent support to employees regarding payroll-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly semi-monthly or monthly payroll for all employees
Ensure accurate calculation of wages taxes and deductions
Maintain and update payroll records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee questions related to pay benefits and taxes
Prepare and distribute payroll reports to internal departments as needed
Ensure compliance with federal state and local payroll wage and hour laws
Collaborate with HR and Finance teams on employee changes benefits and time tracking
Assist with year-end reporting including W-2s 1099s and other filings
Requirements:
Must be located in the United States
Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business or related field (or equivalent experience)
Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role
Strong understanding of payroll laws tax regulations and labor compliance
Experience with payroll software (e.g. ADP Paychex Gusto QuickBooks Payroll etc.)
High attention to detail and confidentiality
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
