We are currently looking for a full timeFinancial Controllerforour businesses that sell and produce asphalt and concrete.
The Controller will beresponsible for maintaining a full set of accounting records on an accurate and timely basis. The successful candidate will be required to be organized work in a fast-paced environment and work with the comptroller and President of the the successful candidate shall be required to multitask and jump into special projects as and when required.
Specifically the candidate will be responsible for:
collaboratively with others in the accounting and finance department team.
and mentoring finance team members fostering professional development and a positive work environment.
to day maintaining records including accounts payable accounts receivable general ledger and payroll.
reporting of interim financial statements
annual budgets and variance analysis on a regular basis
and reporting cash flow financial performance and key performance indicators identifying trends and areas for improvement
and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
of bank accounts intercompany accounts HST and all government remittances
year end file for external accountants
make recommendations for improving or changing standard operating procedures
Qualified candidates shall have:
- A CPA designation at least 2 years
- 2-3 years of related experience in related industries preferred
- Must be computer savvy in Microsoft and have experience with Accounting Software preferably Jonas and Quickbooks
- Knowledge of Accounting Standards for private enterprises
