Title: Extra Help - IHSA Football

ISU Athletics is accepting applications to work IHSA football games which will take place on November 28th and 29th 2025.
Duties may include:
1. Crowd Control/Security
2. Gate Security
3. Bag Check
4. Ticket Taking
5. Pre-Game Facility Setup
6. Post-Game Facility Clean-Up
7. Post-Event Facility Tear-down
8. Supply information to patrons
9. Assists patrons as needed
10. Handle customer complaints
11. Assist in Emergency medical situations by monitoring crowds & reporting personal safety issues/accidents
12. Perform other duties as assigned
Benefits include time away from work for eligible employees and the option to participate in the Universitys 403(b) Plan.
$15.00 per hour
Availability to work a variety of shifts.
1. Experience dealing with large groups of individuals.
2. Experience working with a diverse population.
Will be required to complete a training class prior to IHSA event. Time TBD
Must be available to work within the following timeframes:
November 28th: Approximately 8:30am-10:30pm
November 29th: Approximately 8:30am- 10:30pm
Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
1. Move about in various locations across campus as needed to complete day-to-day work.
2. Effectively communicate on a daily basis.

Extra Help employees may only work up to 28 hours per week for all University employment. Employees are only paid for hours worked and do not qualify for most benefits including health insurance and retirement with Illinois State University. However Extra Help employees are eligible to participate in the Universitys supplemental retirement savings plans (403b). Applicable retirement information is provided at the time of hire. There is no guarantee that working as Extra Help will lead to or secure permanent addition extra help employees may only work up to 900 hours total during their employment.
