Mechanical Engineer-Repair Coordinator (Temp-to-Hire) Location: Houston TX 77034 Pay: $37-$57/ hour DOE Shift: 7am-4pm OT & Weekends as needed
Seeking a repair coordinator for an innovative and efficient pump technology company offering highly engineered pumping solutions for oil & gas power generation industrial chemical and water markers. The right candidate must be skilled with centrifugal and reciprocating pumps rotating equipment steam turbines and gear boxes. This position will work together with the service manager in all aspects of a service center from order acceptance to part and material shipment from the factory.
Prepare and revise quotation and any required documentation packages and project schedules
Communicating & coordinating with various vendors and customers.
Assist Service Center Manager in their absence with correspondence between vendors and clients
Assist Service Center Manager in placing purchase orders creating routers and issuing shop packages to shop
Generate bills of materials and drafting of other engineering/machine drawings as requested.
Produce drawings from sketches and marked-up prints provided by the Project Manager. Must be able to use design skills to produce drawings without instruction.
Must have a general knowledge and be able to use measuring equipment such as inside/outside/depth micrometers dial gages and various other measuring equipment
General application knowledge of API 610.
Familiar with general industry and manufacturing processes and thorough knowledge of the various products including vertical and horizontal pumps and repair procedures.
Good communication skills both written and oral are required.
Good people skills are required for inside sales contact with customers salesmen etc.
Proficient with Microsoft platforms especially Excel.
Must have minimum 5 years in-depth hands-on knowledge of rotating equipment pumps gear boxes single stage steam turbines and machinery repair & reconditioning.
