Job Description

Building/floor: ED/Building; ground floor Units 378 bed hospital with service lines that include orthopedic/elective joints neurology vascular and general medical/surgical. Number of Staff 27 Physical Therapists 19 Occupational Therapists 5 Speech Therapists Patient ratios target of 8 patients per day in Acute Care and 4 patients in ARU/Rehab Unit Type of equipment DMEs exercise equipment EMR Meditech Typical hiring profile: Must have: Flexible to changing schedules. Willing to work on the weekends. Fast learner and receptive to training. Preferred or nice to have: Experience in Acute Care and in ARU. Experience with Meditech use. Typical procedures performed on units: Therapy evaluation and treatment. Patient screening for appropriate need for therapy services. Performs appropriate patient discharge recommendations. Best personality fit: Positive attitude can roll with the punches . Open to changes and able to adapt quickly. Required certification: Up-to-date Texas therapy license. Floating areas: Adult Acute Care and/or Rehab Unit Dress code: Olive green scrub tops black scrub pants. Unit guidelines/policies: HIPAA TJC hospital safety guidelines and policies Therapy care policies and protocols per APTA/AOTA guidelines Weekends: Yes On-calls: None Show more
