Duties & Responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Shopify Store Management

  • Manage update and optimise product listings pricing and promotions.
  • Ensure smooth store functionality (checkout payments integrations).
  • Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

Inventory Control

  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers.
  • Implement stock management practices to prevent overselling/stockouts.
  • Manage restocking processes with internal teams.

Customer Interaction & Support

  • Act as main contact for customer queries and orders.
  • Resolve customer service issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Implement FAQs chatbots and automated responses to improve support.

E-commerce Optimisation & Marketing Support

  • Implement sales campaigns discount strategies and product launches.
  • Optimize store UX/UI product descriptions and SEO performance.
  • Support content creation and blog updates.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Track sales conversions and customer behaviour.
  • Generate insights for improving performance.
  • Report on sales stock and customer trends.

Third-Party Integrations & Payments

  • Manage app integrations payment gateways and shipping providers.
  • Work with finance teams to ensure smooth payment processes.

Website Administration

  • Maintain website security speed and functionality.
  • Manage access control and ensure site is error-free.

MTN Contract & System Integration

  • Understand MTN contract processes and integrate them into Shopify.
  • Ensure seamless customer experience for MTN contract purchases.

Social Media & Customer Engagement

  • Manage all social media platforms and respond to queries.
  • Guide leads towards online purchases or call centre support.
  • Maintain consistent brand voice across digital platforms.

Marketing Promotions & Activations

  • Design and implement marketing promotions with internal and external partners.
  • Drive foot traffic and online sales through activations.
  • Manage design print and distribution of marketing materials.

Key Performance Areas

  • Shopify Store Performance & Optimisation - uptime product visibility searchability.
  • Inventory Accuracy & Stock Management - stock levels forecasting and replenishment.
  • Customer Service & Engagement - customer satisfaction and complaint resolution.
  • E-commerce Sales & Conversion Rates - sales growth reduced cart abandonment.
  • Reporting & Insights - timely and accurate reporting.
  • System & Integration Management - smooth technical operations.
  • Telecom Contract Integration - efficient contract sales process.
  • Social Media Engagement - query handling engagement growth.
  • Marketing & Promotions - continuous brand activations and sales support.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Marketing (required).
  • Certification in E-commerce Digital Marketing or related field.
  • Proven experience in Shopify store management and e-commerce.
  • Experience in payment gateway and third-party app management.
  • Strong digital marketing and SEO knowledge.
  • Background in customer service or order fulfilment.
  • Technical ability to troubleshoot and manage integrations.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience with Google Analytics Meta Ads Manager Shopify Apps.
  • Knowledge of contract processes and telecom systems (advantageous).
  • Experience managing social media accounts and marketing activations.
  • Telecom sector experience is a strong plus.
  • Prior experience in marketing and promotions management.
