Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for keeping critical equipment running smoothly
A leading player in the manufacturing sector is looking to appoint a highly skilled Electrical Technician to join their Sasolburg-based team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional with deep technical knowledge and a strong focus on reliability and continuous improvement.
Working within a high-performance environment the successful candidate will be responsible for fault finding problem solving and driving equipment reliability improvements. This role is vital to maintaining the integrity and efficiency of a busy production facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance with OHS Act and statutory requirements
- Conduct MTTR & MTBF analysis to identify problematic equipment and areas for improvement
- Review maintenance schedules work orders and resource utilisation
- Execute root cause analyses and support reliability improvement initiatives
- Approve purchase orders within cost limits and liaise with service providers
- Drive and maintain 5S workplace organisation principles
- Collaborate with reliability engineers and support RCA investigations
- Support the execution of asset care strategies and maintenance best practices
Requirements:
- N6 / in Engineering with a Trade Test (Red Seal)
- Diploma in relevant engineering discipline preferred
- CRMP certification advantageous
- 510 years experience in a maintenance environment ideally with asset care involvement
- Expert-level skills in fault finding problem solving and repair methods
- Strong understanding of CMMS and maintenance planning systems
- Proficient in MS Office and computer literacy essential
- Excellent communication planning and organisational skills
- Able to work under pressure and deliver results
- Strong commitment to health safety and compliance
- Multiskilled and adaptable with experience in plant-specific equipment
