Job Title: Director of Dining Services
Location: Trinity Oaks Health and Rehab
Position Type: Full-Time
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Weekends evening and holiday hours as needed.
Pay Range: $20 - $30 per hour
Job Description:
Trinity Oaks Health and Rehab is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Dining Services to join our team. The Director of Dining Services will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the Dining Services department ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and regulations and aligning with Trinity Oaks goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and supervise all nutritional and dining services functions.
- Ensure adequate staffing and oversee food service operations to comply with safety and sanitation codes.
- Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures.
- Coordinate the selection training coaching supervision and evaluation of dining services employees.
- Maintain employee records and plan in-service education for dining service employees.
- Manage and maintain dietary equipment including evaluating the need for repairs or replacements.
- Assist in developing departmental budgets and operate within approved budgets.
- Plan and implement approved diets and menus.
- Interview residents to determine diet history and preferences and periodically evaluate dining services.
- Coordinate dining services with other facility departments and represent dining services at facility meetings.
- Ensure accuracy of diets as ordered by physicians and explain diet requirements to residents and family members.
- Maintain a safe environment and complete other duties necessary for the orderly operation of the facility.
Qualifications:
- D.M.A. Certification or willingness to secure the same.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- One year of experience in a healthcare facility or retirement community food service preferred.
- Prior management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word Excel PowerPoint).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of local health regulations and state laws pertaining to dining services and food preparation.
- Ability to operate various kitchen equipment and utensils.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 20 pounds.
- Ambulatory throughout all areas of the facility.
- Ability to bend stoop and reach overhead.
